The Seniors of our club consist of the Senior Team, Reserves Team, Under 18’s, Supercats and Wildcats.

The Senior and Reserves Teams

Our senior team competes in the highest level competition of AFL football available to Queensland based clubs, this being the North East Australian League.  This League comprises tams from Queensland, the Northern Territory, Sydney and the ACT.  It is the competition that the reserves teams of the Lions, Swans, Suns and Giants play.   Our reserves play in a Brisbane/Goldcoast competition, again at the highest level available to that team.

Many of our Junior players have progressed into senior football with our club over the history of the club.  A significant proportion of our current players have been  juniors at our club.

Under 18’s

Our U18 team is a developmental team for senior football at our club.  The team group is managed in conjunction with our senior and reserves team, with individuals provided with the opportunity to play in these teams as they develop.  The Under 18’s play in the highest division for their age group within Queensland.  Individuals interested in playing for our U18 team should contact our Club Development Manager, Jack Barry, at jbarry@aflq.com.au

Supercats - Veterans Football

The supercats is our veteran team that provides the opportunity for our older “retired” players to play in games against players of similar ages.

The Morningside Panthers Supercats field 2 teams , a Supers for players 30-40 years and a Masters for 40 years and above which are both part of the AFL Masters QLD competition.  Matches are played on a fortnightly basis. 

Training is every Wednesday night at 7:15 PM , warm-up on Back Oval with main session on Main Oval after Seniors and non-playing Saturdays from 4:00PM.

The Wildcats is our women’s team that provides the opportunity for women players to play in the local womens’ league.
